Today I login to my Paypal account and saw this Paypal policy update notice and when I click on it, I am really surprise to see that they finally allow we as Malaysian to withdraw fund into our local banks. This is what I read on:

When I tried to see my account has the withdrawal to local bank option, and I end up disappointing. I don’t know whether it wasn’t available to me or Paypal hasn’t make changes to their website yet. You may want to check your Paypal account is see if you have the withdrawal option available.

That means it might only available for certain customers. I am not sure what it means above, but I can confirmed that my account still don’t have the local bank withdrawal button, not even in add bank column.

One  good move is Paypal is incorporated Malaysian Ringgit as one of the major currencies in Paypal.

That’s mean you can do business in Malaysian Ringgit if you want to. This is after Paypal make specific changes to the user agreement as required by BNM.

In addition, for Malaysian resident customers, PayPal has made specific modifications to the User Agreement as required by Bank Negara Malaysia regarding your rights as consumers in Malaysia accessing the PayPal services.

Certainly this is a good move, I will monitoring my Paypal account in next few days and see if the local bank withdrawal option is available for me.Stay tune for more review on Paypal withdrawal option.

Probably, the next round we would stay longer and meet up with a few more friends there. I met with Sean Tan and David Kwan for the first time. Sean Tan was my customer of All Niche Video then turn to good friend while David is partner to another friends of mine and I heard about his name several times before meet up.

I enjoy the Penang food like Char Kui Teow, Penang Laksa, Prawn Mee so much … Anyway, I forgot to take pictures with our friends and food, sorry guys.

We stay in the Evergreen Laurel Hotel which in my opinion is the best hotel I ever stay in Penang. I like this hotel as it is located at Persiaran Gurney, the moment you step out the hotel, we can see the excellence sea front view. People like me who miss the sea view very much will be happy to see it again and again. The last time I went to seaside was like one year ago. Here is the outside view of the hotel.

Besides that, I like this hotel as they are probably a fewer hotels in Malaysia that offering complimentary broadband usage. What else you need more as online entrepreneurs and marketers when you go to a new place?

This is a hotel room that I stay on Friday night, it is very simple and clean design. According to my staff, she told me this is a 5-star hotel.

My hotel room is facing to the city view and this is the picture I took from my hotel room. According to Sean Tan, this is one of the most expansive condominium in Penang.

Another plus point about this hotel, they are very environmental friendly. You will able to see these tags in the hotel.

Basically they will ask the hotel guess to have a good practice to reduce on water and detergence usage, if you would like to help the hotel, then just follow their given instructions.

According to his first blog post – Welcome Aboard, the reason he setup this blog is to provide another platform to keep in touch with people despite of his busy schedule. With the started his blog – The Entrepreneur, I believe there will be more and more corporate CEO would join the boat soon.

In fact, I have conducted a research when I was preparing this write up, I found out there are 2 more blogs that setup by AirAsia and TuneMoney.com executive – Tengku Zafrul.

AirAsia’s corporate blog on the other hand, believe written by the staffs of AirAsia. They setup this blog probably inspired by Malaysia Airlines moves on setup the corporate blog early this year. In fact, TNB also have started corporate blogging same time with Malaysia Airlines blog but gain less popularity since the launch in April 2008.

CEO bloggers are very common in overseas. Corporate CEO like Randy from Boeing, Edison from GE Global Research, Jonathan Schwart from Sun Microsystem, and many others have been blogging for years from now. Malaysian CEOs begun to look into the usage of corporate blog as the unique branding recently, probably after the politics tsunami in March 2008.

It is indeed a good news for people who want to call up them and find out what is the status of the card application. They should have done it when they first introduce the debit card nationwide. Unlike the previous number which need to pay premium call charges, right now people can call Tune Money at normal local land line call charges.

I got many comments on my previous blog post about the Tune Money Debit Card, asking how to get in touch with them about the card status. Being the fact that people don’t like to pay expensive call charges to contact them. Right now, indeed it’s a really good news!

According to the press release, this is going to be the next website/blog that ride the wave of electronic media emergence since the Malaysia Election in March 2008. This blog is going to cover Politics and Pop Culture. According to them, politics here do not simply mean politicians, political parties or government but power relations between the various parties involve in an issue.

This blog founded by two popular personnel in local media industry, Jacqueline Ann Surin and Cindy Tham who both of them have more than 13 & 14 years of experience in print journalism and were former assistant news editors with the Sun.

The blog will somehow focus on analysis so that readers will understand what is happening in and outside the country. It is going to be the first disabled-friendly news site in Malaysia. Sound something new to me, disabled-friendly, not sure how do they justify this.

I will wait-and-see in the middle of this month about the launch of this new blog.

2 words I can use to describe from the last week Profit Blogging Workshop – Tired but Excited!

Melvin and I organised 3 session last week, and it turned out very good response. To my surprise, even my ex-partner also turned up our blogging seminar.

The seminar rooms was packed with people who are eager to learn how to make money blogging. Estimated there are more than 100 people came to these 3 FREE blogging workshop.
