Do you know who is the youngest blogger in town or even in the world? In December, 2007 I wrote a review on the youngest blogger in the world. The record probably need to rewrite by now. What I even surprise is this youngest blogger I ever discovered is staying nearby my house. His name is Gloson and he started blogging in November 2008 when he was 11 years old.

According to Gloson in the interview, his mother Grace Khong encouraged him to start a blog in 2008. Gloson did so and got his blog up in July 2008. During the school holidays in November, instead of spending his holidays in like normal kids, he began actively blogging during the free time. This blog is about everything he learn!

Trust me, you will find somethings new to learn from his blog post. You will amaze that he even know more things than you in certain area. He uses words, pictures and videos to express the written topic. All I can said he is able to deliver the idea to the readers. He even know how to create a video and upload to YouTube! Can you?

I can see more and more bloggers in Malaysia are begin to show their talents.  How about you? Are you / your kids are making use of the free time to create something more meaningful?

You won’t surprise that I will do the same to teach my daughter to blog in future. Although I have setup the blog for her (Priscila Wong‘s Blog)  is to updates my friends, relatives about her pictures, I will teach her when come to the right time in future. Of course she will take over the blog and write her own contents.

Whose know she will even break Gloson Record in future, you will never know!

Gloson blog is featured again! This time he was appeared in 2 media.
1) He was featured in Sin Chew(????), a local most popular Chinese Newspaper.
2) He is also featured in Carl’s latest blog – YoungestBlogger.com and ranked 27 in Top 100′s Youngest Blogger list.

According to the press release, this is going to be the next website/blog that ride the wave of electronic media emergence since the Malaysia Election in March 2008. This blog is going to cover Politics and Pop Culture. According to them, politics here do not simply mean politicians, political parties or government but power relations between the various parties involve in an issue.

This blog founded by two popular personnel in local media industry, Jacqueline Ann Surin and Cindy Tham who both of them have more than 13 & 14 years of experience in print journalism and were former assistant news editors with the Sun.

The blog will somehow focus on analysis so that readers will understand what is happening in and outside the country. It is going to be the first disabled-friendly news site in Malaysia. Sound something new to me, disabled-friendly, not sure how do they justify this.

I will wait-and-see in the middle of this month about the launch of this new blog.

Blogging (always) is the In-thing again!

Today I read in the Sun paper and saw this little article about new blogger introduction. This time the spot is on our former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir. He started blogging on May 1st with the first article “The Appointment of Judges“. You won’t believe it, within the same day itself, there are already more than 520+ comments left in his new blog. Really the latest and hottest blogging in town now!!

According to Che Det (a name he used when writing in the newspapers long time ago), the purpose of setting up this new blog is to publishing his writing when he wants to pen out his thoughts and opinion.

This site is dedicated to publishing my writings as and when I am able to pen my thoughts and opinion. Interested parties, including the Press, are welcomed to reproduce or quote materials published here with the condition that they are credited to chedet.com.

Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan (Umno Youth Secretary-General) of Kota Belud MP is another politicians who setup his blog recently. His blog went live recently in March 24, 2008, right after the Malaysia Election. The reason he setup this blog is to air his views in various issues.

Things look good that politicians from BN camp start looking at blog as alternative media to voice their opinion. However, Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan stated that his blog got hacked on May 1st. There is a potential threat for famous politician’s blogs take over by someone. I am not sure they created their blogs themselves or they have someone will help him look after the technical issue. After all, it is not nice to see someone put up embarrassed postings.

Kudos to The Sun paper, always put up write up about the new blogs. That’s the way to attract people start looking at blogging. In fact, what I really look forward to see more and more people are starting their own blog.

Is she crazy or what? Or give up on blogging? So, I read her post about this auction and the answer is found right in her blog post.

She is trying to achieve 2 things here: (If I guess it right from her quote!!)

1. Move out to the current blog and re-establish her new blog writing style and direction.
2. She is on hire and wants to become a guest writer to the new boss.

I know smart marketeers will see this as a good investment. What if they buy this up and hire me to continue blogging? It is a crazy idea but I know out there, many people are jumping into getting good blogs.

What’s a clever move and trying to leverage on her asset to the max.

For those who are new to the blogging, you might think that is a ridiculous price she put for sale. But for those who are making 5-figures income from the blog monthly will think this is a good investment. I didn’t really know exactly how much her earning from this site monthly, my assumption is you may able to make your investment back in 3-6 months.

Looking at the business point of view, we are always looking at return on investment and how long would it take to break even. Depending on how much capital investment and the perspective of the business, there is no right formula to give you answer, you got to determine yourself how much and how fast!

Dr. Izad from Mount-Kinabalu-Borneo.com is the highlighted blogger in the first interview. He started blogging in June 2006 after completed his Mount-Kinabalu-Borneo.com website. Very soon he found out will be left no more new contents update in the current website, he started to explore the possible to blog. He learn from his ground zero level on wordpress blogging on his after work and own efforts. I am glad to see his great achivement so far.

According to him, his average income generated from this blog is about RM2-5K monthly while still doing his full time job as a general doctor who serve in a clicnic in KK. His income generated from the blog main from Text Link Ads, In-bound tour package (arrangement with the local tour agent), donation and other monetising methods.

In fact, he is rather spending very low in the early day of blogging. He told me that, he only invest money in hosting and the Blog Mastermind Program. This morning, when I was reading and replying some of the comments in my blog, I realised that PR has updated to 2 3 (Last checked on 15th January). I am getting a little bit excited over the quick updates over my blog page rank, eventhough this is a newly setup blog back in September (just merely 1 4 months). I went to check again, and it’s officially my PR is 2 3.

If you your blogs/sites didn’t show any PR changes, you can try to check later. If you are want to double check on other PR Checkers, just google it and you will find many other free PR Checkers you can use.

I have been knowing Colbert since last year, our first meeting was in Mid Valley together with 4 others internet marketers. According to Colbert in his blog, he is the first blogger in Malaysia who joined an international blog network.

I am the first Malaysian problogger to join an international blog network at www.WeblogEmpire.com in 2005 and it is now part of B5 Media as of 31 Oct 2005

Indeed, this is a good session to catch up again especially I am conducting seminar about how to make money by blogging. I managed to ask him to share with some 10 people last Saturday’s seminar. He didn’t expect that i would asked him to share his experience as blogger. Although he is nervous at the beginning, very soon he told us how does he started off and his experience to work with b5 media.
