I've collected my card and I've added Tune Card in my paypal account, but paypal need confirmation, they've taken out from my card $1.++ and they said they'll return it back after I've inserts confirmation code in my card transactions, I've check my online transactions, yes my balance has decreased but, when I view the transactions, it not shown any information about the transaction except for my first initial load and fees, is it said that I can view my transactions online real time? How I'm going to verify my paypal accounts? Did tunemoney will sending me monthly statements so I can see the verification number from it so I can verify my paypal? Arhhhh… tension!!!!!

Sabre: You got to check with Tune card whether they provide statement or not. For verification purpose, I think you should charge to a card that you have online banking or statement access. Otherwise, it is quite difficult.

I've called their customer care exec, they said it should take about 2-3 days before we can see the details about the transactions. So I want to ask, is it really it's will take about 2-3 days before we can see the transactions? Please tell me step-by-step in verifying my PayPal using Tune Card, how many days it's takes, I heard a lot of people successfully verified their PayPal but I still don't understand how they do it, I don't waste my phone bills keep calling Tune Card CC to know about it, please, anyone experienced? Just go Tune Money website and register online, enable your browser for pop-up windows, javascript so that you can see the further instruction on registration.

Top-up your card with minimum RM50 and wait for 7 workings day to collect the card at specific post office.

Debit and Prepaid cards are not the same! Debit card will immediately debit your bank account. It is linked to a bank account. Whereas, Prepaid cards are valid only on the amount you 'pre-pay' into it. It's like a phone reload for prepaid phones. The exception is probably the Public Bank Visa Electron. It is considered a 'debit' card (if you have a Public Bank account) but it is also a 'prepaid'.

Lisa: Are you sure you have activated your Tune Money card? Once you got your card from Pos office, you need to login to Tune Money website to activate the card. Received the card doesn't mean activated already.

If I given two option whether to receive my online income payment via cheque or PayPal, I'll choose PayPal..with Tune Card existence, that options is the best, it only takes 3 days to withdraw my money from PayPal to Tune Card…

In addition, I've bad experience in clearing foreign cheque with Public Bank Berhad… 2 months ago, I've deposited my online income cheque (foreign cheque) in my Public Bank saving account, normally, after about 1 month, I can withdraw the money to pay my monthly bills as usual I've done before, but this time, it has been 5 weeks and I still didn't receive my money in my account.

So I go to the nearest Public Bank and ask about my foreign cheque status, their customer services officer said, it's depend to their HQ at KL, they can't do anything about it, then I've called Public Bank HQ at KL but no answer, where the hell their CC officer gone, then I surf their official website at http://www.pbebank.com and send contact form asking about my cheque status, they never replied…

A few days later, I went again to nearest Public Bank and ask about my cheque status since Its still not deposited in my account, their CC officer said, they has sent about my problems to their HQ at KL but still no follow up received. On the next day, they've called me and told me that my cheque has lost in transit by their mistakes, they didn't even apologize, just told me to go and sign a declaration about the loss, sorry!! I'll never go until I've get back my cheque that will be reissued by the issuer…

With this experience, I'll NEVER BELIEVE PUBLIC BANK anymore….Luckily, when I check my PayPal balance, there are $78.12 available, I withdraw it to my Tune Card and 3 days later, I can withdraw it at CIMB ATM and pay my monthly bills as usual…

sbjsabre: Well, that's the issue on foreign bank check clearance. Try to get an US bank account and you will find that you can get in 2 weeks or less, depends on how fast your check can reach US after you received here.

before this i use AMbank debit card but the problem with the card is that i can't cash out the money form the card at ATM machine so i thought of changing card which one would be best for me as i use my card for online shopping and paypal withdraw(near future)

hmmmm… so much hype about its efficiency. I applied on 27th May 2008 and today is 19th July 2008 still not getting the card. Of course my first discovery was after 1 hour queue at POS Malaysia only to know its not ready.

Anyway, we'll see when I will eventually get the card. BTW, I called twice. 1st call they say that they have having technical problem embossing the card. 2nd call they say the server is having problem. I guess, thay have a lot of problems. But, they certainly do not have problem collecting your money….

I would advise you find out the card collection and activation procedure before dropping by POS office to collect. The instruction is given clear enough to follow. Unless you are prepared to visit POS office for a few round before to get it right.

Also, you must deposit some fund into the debit card before you can get from POS office, and after got the card from POS office you must login to your web account to activate the card.

actualy you can call first to ask wether your card is ready or not. Just to make sure.

Lankapo: Yes, it is right, but bear in mind, for every call to dial to their customer service, it come with a premium call charges.

Joe Black: I don't think they will reply you on mail, maybe too busy. I would suggest you free yourself one day to collect from POS, otherwise they will cancel it after X days for not pick up by you. You can also call up to check whether your card still in POS or they have cancelled already.

I got my Tune Money Card last April 2008 and I face no problem using the Tune Card.

While I was away to India and Thailand, I did the transaction on purchasing as well withdrawal from the ATM machine…the bank didn't reject it at all.

Moreover, the exchange rates Tune Money give is quite good compared using the Bank Visa Electron and service fee charge is low too. Eg. I used Tune Money RM 1 to THB 10 and PB Visa Electron RM 1 to THB 9.20. Good rate right.

When I asked Al Rajhi bank officers, they said that Paypal no longer approves Al Rajhi Debit Cards (for new registration). For those who have registered long time ago, shouldn't have any problem with it.

Tan: If you are registering from Malaysia, obviously you are using Paypal Malaysia account, and the same for US account. For Malaysia Paypal account holder, you got the choice to withdraw to US bank account or Malaysia Visa Debit card.

ebayq: I don't think you can get an US bank acct if you apply etrade now. They will re-direct your application to Singapore or HK for processing. End of the day, you are getting a Singapore or Hong Kong account. Besides that, you need to put in USD$1K as deposit.

Thanks to every one for the info provided, which led me to apply for this card. I just collected it today, despite a delay of over 7 or 8 weeks. But it is not a big deal. I was not in a hurry.

Made my first top-up , waited a week to collect card at designated Pos but it was not there. Called CS, but they dun have payment confirmation , asked me to fax over the receipt! Aiyo - who use fax machine la nowdays?? They suggested I go to 7-11 for this service. Luckily I manage to find one and did it at my sister's place.

Anyway - I will be registering my card later and see how things go. Shall keep you guys updated. Ciao

Managed to register my card to Paypal and it is in process of getting confirmed. Once it gets confirmed, I can proceed to doing proper business. Been having bad experience with my old Singapore Paypal account. The Singapore gahmen want to control their S$ out-flow so they cleaned-up n kicked out them people who cannot proove they are staying in Singapore anymore. I am one of them.

Anyway - I want to ask how you guys withdraw $ to your card? I use to only withdraw to my SG bank account, which was easily done with a few clicks and 3 to 4 days wait. Is it to withdraw to your VISA card account?

Hope to get some idea before I face it soon.

My Paypal account is up and running smoothly. Will be making a $ transfer to my prepaid card very soon. But without pin# … cannot 'taste' the $ wat ?!?!? Aiyoh these ppl ahhh, still on CNY holiday mood ?

I just called CS of Tune $, asking for if they got my email asking for PIN#, a guy who speaks like he had food in his mouth asked "When did u send us an email?". Me "2 days ago" , him "you have to wait 1 week. Me "what wait a week? And the email reply will probably be 'please wait one month' ?" . CS then asked me for details and said he will call me back in 2 hours time. He is most likely to be having his lunch and answering phones at the same time. Tony , oh tony!

@Shaffir: I personally recommend Public Bank Debit card if you maintain account with them. With internet banking you can transfer from card to saving / current account without any additional charge. Anyway, it is my personal preference, just like you prefer Al Rajhi Bank.

@Arifintallib: I also not quite sure the actual steps to get it done as I did that like a few months back. I think the best way is to call up them and find out the steps. I am sure the new customer service team will be able to help you since they are well train to answer the calls.

hi all….yes i can link my tune money to my paypal acc.i must admit that its very convenient. But i got into problem when i reload via cimb counter.i make a mistake when i use my ref number to top up my card.2 days after that,i call their customer service saying that that ref no is for initial load only and after that i have to load using my card no.they say my money maybe floating inside cimb.aiseh….to claim my money back i have to fax the cimb receipt. the problem is i check their website again and again ,there is no fax no.help me pls…

I've apply for this card, for your information, i can verified my paypal account using this tunemoney visa prepaid card. at first, paypal had deduct $1.95 from my tunecard credit, however, paypal had credited back $1.95 into my paypal account. meaning to say, i had to nothing. Only pay for tunemoney fee at RM9.99 (if i'm not mistaken).

i just received my card, apparently now there is no more option to collect at post office and they said they "haven't" updated it in their website yet, that means the card will be sent to your house and in my situation, since the letter is registered, i have to collect it at the nearest post office since i wasn't home.

i linked my card to paypal account, the amount was deducted but i have yet to receive the PIN in my statement, since i know it'll take 3-4 days, i'll wait.

Been using Tune card since it was approved and verified over 7 months. Withdraw from Paypal is smooth. I used my debit card to pay at supermarkets / shops locally, and overseas, no prob. My problem is there is I cannot remember the PIN issued for this card. So I keep it saved in my phone. Recently my phone was re-formatted and I lost the PIN.

So today I called CS, and with pressing few numbers, I was speaking to someone in no time. The short 2 or 3 mins call cost almost RM3, not at the usual phone rates. Anyway - I requested for a new PIN, got told a new card will be with new card #, and PIN. It will take 2 weeks. I got a bad feeling the old card will be cancelled and then I need to change my Paypal details. Oh not to forget - Tune will charge me RM20.

@ciidiiboy, tune card is not issued by bank, you may have difficulty to get support from them. I suggest you try Public Bank, Maybank or Al-Rajhi Bank.

1) open paypal account
2) apply debit card
3) link your debit card to paypal
4) verify debit card
5) done …
