Well it seems we are mixing two things up here in Malaysia.
1.) Withdrawing your money using your Debit or Credit Card and 2.) VERIFYING your payapal account.
An unverified account has a limit of $500 transaction per month, while a verified account has $5-10,000. SO can the Malaysian Cards be used to verify your paypal account? Lets get this straight so we can move up from peanut merchantile of $500. Thanks

Zoe: Charges are almost the same. Withdraw from PP to Singapore account is free for withdrawal amount above SGD$200 and charge for USD$1 for withdrawal amount below SGD$200.

However, withdrawal using DBS debit card is SGD5 per transaction. Also, you got to look into the withdrawal limit in ATM, so far, I know the max withdrawal amount is RM1,500.

You got to make sure your Singapore bank balance is more than SGD$200 every month, or else you will be charged for SGD$2/month.

I didn’t know about Maybank Singapore to Malaysia transfer, but I assume the charge is almost the same. You need to look into the currency, it’s changing everyday.

After look into all these, the conclusion is almost the same for two different method you mentioned. The choice is yours.

By comparing withdrawal using debit card in Malaysia to using withdrawal to Singapore savings account then transfer back to a Malaysia savings account, which way is more cost efficient?

Considering withdrawal to debit card has $5 charges and max limit is only $500, it is not worth it if you have relative big amount to withdraw.

Anyone knows how much charges to transfer from Singapore savings acc to Malaysia savings account? For ex, using Maybank?
